  • Distributing electric service to more than 6,000 residents
  • Maintaining over 5,000 street and security lights

Electrical Distribution System


Douglas City's electrical distribution system consists of 132.15 miles of high voltage primary lines.

Additional Information


The Electric Department is a member of the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia. The first electric lights were turned on in Douglas on May 26, 1905.
