The City of Douglas and Southern Georgia Regional Commission (SGRC) held a CDBG Grant Public Hearing and Application Intake meeting on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Young’s Chapel Baptist Missionary Church. Georgia Henderson (Community Development Director), Michael Jacobs (SGRC Senior Planner), and Christian Mikell (Grants Administrator) were on hand to assist with providing information and application intake. Several community members completed applications and provided input for the proposed FY’21 CDBG Grant area. If a citizen thinks they may qualify for the housing revitalization program in the target area and would like to complete an application, please call Michael Jacobs (912)285-6097 or Christian Mikell at (912) 383-0277.
